...this might be a thing I do far too often. Whoops.
There's a storm raging outside and there's pollen everywhere. UGH. And by storm, I mean wind and the lightest bit of rain. Just enough to make everything damp.
I don't trust the power so any thoughts I had to share will have to wait and hope my brain doesn't immediately toss them away.
Actually, gonna vent for a second.
When I finished my first watch of the current obsession, I sent Cass a quick recommendation because I think she'd actually really like it, and if nothing else, I can 100% guarantee she'd adore What Could Have Been as a song.
I didn't expect her to immediately hop on said recommendation because she's got to watch around a kiddo and for all she's braggy about what K does and does not watch, getting the kid to let you watch your own shows isn't always easy.
But she surprised me and said she would. And then watched, and enjoyed, the first episode and promised to make short work of the rest, ASAP.
Which she has not. And I didn't mind until the last three conversations I've had with her each involved her saying that she'd been watching something else because Carol or someone else said she should. I don't even remember what they were, but I do remember that the first one she mentioned is two hours or so and definitely not something the chiblet would've been okay with watching.
I don't think this would bug me as much if she'd just said she'd add it to the list. But the fact that she keeps mentioning other things she's watching, that other people have asked her to watch... Ma'am, I'm still waiting on you to watch ANY of the Disney+ Marvel shows, including the one you reminded me about! So it's not like I'm not used to waiting...and waiting. But if she asks me to watch something that isn't one of her reality shows, there's this expectation that I should do it ASAP.
And the one time she did watch something far sooner than I expected her to, she bitched the entire fucking time like I held a gun to her head and made her watch. (Rude. Midnight Mass was a masterpiece, dammit.)
And yes, that means the last thing she watched that I told her about was back in October. Well, not true. I did cheat the system and watched the LuLaRue Amazon doc that probably came out after that, and she watched that when I told her how batshit it was, but that's less me saying, "hey watch this" and more "I watched something of yours before you did."
Turret arrived safe and sound yesterday. Pretty sure Mums is going to steal him if I'm not careful. "He's got wings!"
Time change tonight!

Date: 2022-03-12 02:40 pm (UTC)And our power just flickered.
But yeah, I'm not gonna sit around in the dark store with no heat, no coffee and no flushing toilets for anyone except Z. Heh.
My Turret is out for delivery! I didn't know you'd tried for him. Or if I did, I'd forgotten totally. I love the gargoyles so.

Date: 2022-03-12 02:56 pm (UTC)Power flickered during breakfast and I fully expect it to do so as soon as I turn the dryer on because work clothes gotta dry.
I got my chosen notice a couple of days after you posted about yours (so I'd just figured I'd missed out) and then got really lucky for shipping, I guess. Probably to make up for all the wonky shipping that's been going on and because it meant that someone had to keep an eye out since it kept pouring off and on yesterday.
He's so cute! I tried not to get too attached to the idea of him because I knew it was a crapshoot of the highest order.
