Here we are, nearing the end of my petty staycation. Or, if I prefer to think about it this way, here I am, starting my normal weekend. Yes, yes, that sounds better.
I spent the wee early morning hours doing that thing you do when you're reading a book and want to know if a specific character/storyline wraps up and so you peek at the end and then whoops, you somehow read pretty much the entire end of the book but now you have to go back and read the *checks* oh, 200 pages between where you actually are and the end. Whoops.
Now I'm killing time waiting for the CB sneak peek launch. Part of me is hoping for much cuteness to squee over and part of me is hoping I don't fall in love with too many, especially since I'm pretty sure I'm still waiting on at least two from last year. I realize that's not a lot considering I've seen much longer waits, but I think last year's I put myself down for... *looks* 8. So 2/8 still lurking, and overall I did not have the best experience with preordering from the Bearhouse directly. Sooooooooo... we'll see. Self, why are you bumming us out?
Back on a happier note, I've finished everything on my to do list that wasn't reading the book of doooooooooom. I'm pausing on my cross stitch/embroidery because I'm trying to avoid eyestrain but since I finished the words on the cross stitch, it's a win. I do plan on trying to do some more tomorrow since this evening has other plans.

I finally unboxed Sapling there. She's cute as hell but with my hands being stupidly dry, she looks softer than she is and her hat feels funky. But so cute. And with Sapling, we have my latest round of swatch sticks in the holder so you can see how it looks at work.
We're gonna ignore the backlog of polishes that need swatching as I think I've had my fill of the smell for awhile. At least until I need to paint my actual nails, anyway.
Might go outside for a bit and then resume reading til it's time for the sneak peek. Or I might fall down the well of reading years old threads on a comic book forum debating the various facets of Psylocke. Who can say for sure?
