impyI'm sure you were waiting ever anxiously to see how the nails turned out, huh?
So yesterday morning I decided to paint little ghosts on my nails. It took forever. It didn't help that I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to go about it and I'd never used dotting tools before AND then I learned the hard way that Zoya's Remove Plus's... plus is lavender. I fucking hate the scent of lavender. So that probably didn't help much. Ugh.
Anyway, I didn't bother taking off the polish from last week from the last two nails that were holding on, nor my index on my right hand (that has since chipped off and I need to do now) because of the lavender surprise. So. I got exactly one damn near perfect ghost on my middle finger and the pinky and thumb are both more ghouls or wraiths, wailing as their faces melt. On my right hand, not shown, my pinky was pretty much perfect while the others were varying degrees of "you tried." The Holo Taco glow in the dark top coat is no joke, btw. Unlike the Orlys I picked up at about the same time last year, it hasn't gotten chunky (ew. Thinner to the rescue, eventually) and it glows forever. Like the entire night, anytime the cat would hop up and wake me up, I'd notice my glowing nails. Less so on my right thumb which is green and not white underneath but still impressive.
I'm a little sad that not all the photos from my walk yesterday seem to have worked. It's impossible to tell really while out in the obnoxious sunshine and I admit I was trying to balance getting a photo with being in the moment of falling leaves AND not getting run over by a surprise car behind me, but still. Every other photo came out in some form. Woe. Which is a funny way of saying this: while on my long delayed walk yesterday afternoon, I wandered under some trees by the pool and they were raining their leaves down to the ground and it was very fall like, even as it felt a bit closer to summer. Very pretty and happy making.
I do think I finally found something to keep me walking for the rest of the week, assuming I don't cheat and listen to it not on my walk: the Slayers Audible thing. If not for the heat kicking in and the realization that I still had to walk ALL THE WAY HOME (woe is me), I probably would've gone for the long walk yesterday. As it was, I stayed out and went for the longer one because I wanted to hear more. Huzzah.
Deboxed Evette this morning and put Kavi in the bat costume. Haven't decided whether Evette will get the pink witch, stay in her autumn appropriate outfit for now, or what. *muse*
