impyPulled up to work and thought it weird that I didn't see any of my coworkers' cars, but didn't dwell because one is currently without a vehicle and the other two have been known to run late.
You know that Community gif where Troy's holding pizza and looking on as chaos has broken out in his brief absence? Yeah, that's what happened when I rounded the corner to the register area. It looked like hell, A looked like she was going to cry as she asked if I'd seen or heard from anyone else on my shift and I had to answer no. Much, much, MUCH later I would learn this is because she'd been there since before 1:30pm... and she didn't leave the store until after 5am. I'd have cried too.
Yeah. Uh, my fellow minion called out because she had/has pinkeye and the two SFLs appear to have pulled a joint NCNS. Not sure if it was intentional or if they overslept or what, but that was... fun. I'm leaning towards it being intentional for at least one because one of the previous SFLs who also pulled a NCNS sent me a random text asking what the fuck was going on down at the good ol' Wags. I'd intended to text her and ask if one of them said anything to her but hadn't yet, so either she's psychic or someone give her a head's up.
Unless one of the two of them manages to come up with a good reason they flaked, I get to work with the store manager tonight. Torn between wanting to see fellow minion so I won't be lonely and also NOT FUCKING WANTING PINKEYE, THANK YOU. I really hope she didn't accidentally give it to the rest of us Tuesday night. Please let me not have rubbed my eyes, universe. Please.
And if they did go ahead and tell work to fuck off because they got fussed at for not doing their jobs, they'll have effectively scuttled my Christmas. Good job, guys. You really showed ...someone. Not the person you were trying to screw though.
