impyI'm a little behind on my AG stuff, so let's begin with the newest and work backwards, ok?
AG's GOTY 2025 has had her book art released via Amazon.
Behold. Isabelle Palmer but with glasses. The general consensus is that she'll have a mold other than classic (please, AG, please) but I would absolutely like to fight the person who's like "she looks just like MG if you take the pink hair away." Um. No.Isabelle Summer has ash blonde hair and MG's that dirty blonde/light brown. Please get your eyes checked and then take a seat in the back. Honestly, Summer here is giving me Isabelle/Grace/Kira vibes, but since AG needs a hit, there are worse combos to make. I'm not here for the friendship drama already promised on the back cover but I think this looks cute. Depending on what they do with the doll, I have every intention of buying her at some point. GLASSES. You may also down all the shots for all the bitching about the pink hair. Ma'ams, take your pearl clutching outta the club because it's so, so old. GOD.
Speaking of dolls, they jacked the prices up. CYO is $220, Princesses are $135, and the named characters are $125. Booooooo. Truly Me is still $115 but that might just be because the Meet outfits aren't enough to justify a price hike... yet.
Oh. Speaking of books, we've got Nicki's Journal , Isabel's Journal , and Melody: My Diary on the way. The twins are set for March 4, 2025 while Melody's set for January 7, 2025. Are these just the twins' current journals finally available without buying the dolls?

Pink pimp boots ride again? For the first time? Hrmm. I don't like them together with the dress but I don't hate the boots because I will always be a sucker for a metallic boot. Or nail. Anyway. Without the headband I'm getting knock-off Taylor Swift vibes, which I assume is the goal. This is one I kinda like for just how OTT and odd it is, but I think AG's failtography strikes again. This looks so fake and it's doing my head in, y'know?

I want to like this so much but my hands are cringing at the cotton candy material and how I just KNOW it's gonna snag on my skin and I hate how plastic the cake is. I'm not sure whether to award points for the party hats looking realistically ridiculous on the doll or take them away. I do love the plates/silverware though. I'm also gonna give points for you being able to decorate the cake in different ways if you want. This is 100% overpriced but it's also AG so.
I can't fail to mention them releasing a fuchsia dress for Bitty that looks like she's being choked.
Because we're heading into the Olympics but also because their last collab was such a flop, we've got some generic red/white/blue outfits that I actually kinda love. Spoilers, I know.

Love that we get two blues for this and here's the white shirt I wanted for Julie's outfit. I do wish the dark blue went all the way around the hoodie but it's not a dealbreaker. I do think the stripes are gonna peel like no one's business in time but that's just how these things go. Also love that they're promoting this one as gender neutral. Huzzah!

God, I wish I hadn't just realized they redhatted this outfit. G'AH. Ignoring that and hoping this isn't gonna have a whole bunch of asshats being asshats, I love this set. Yes, it's very simple and the dress and boots are both things AG's done a lot but they're simple and they work well. I don't feel all that patriotic much these days for kinda obvious reasons, but I will admit that come the 4th, part of me flashes back to being a kid who loved all the red, white, and blue everywhere. Ah, simpler times. Which is absolutely nuts to say when you remember the whole "hide under your desk/in the hall in the event of a bomb going off" thing, which was still a lingering concern. GOOD TIMES. Uh, anyway. Pretty dress. Gimme. You can take that red hat and shove it, AG, because it's too damn soon. Some things have been ruined by asshats and it takes awhile for the stink to wash away. We're nowhere near that. (Just so we're clear, I'm pretty sure it's simply a red hat because they wanted a blue dress and the red hat looks better with that than red boots/white hat would.)

But I love the hell out of them matching their blues to the jogger outfit to a degree that I cannot articulate it beyond it makes my brain stupidly happy. Something about the skirt is also giving me 80's books vibes and that's almost always a good thing.
Btw, technically the Team AG stuff is the newest stuff actually on the site, but the birthday stuff didn't do enough for me to mention it at the time and I didn't want to end on that when I could end on me clapping my hands in delight instead. You're welcome.
Oh! And if you're so inclined, there are AG Costumes by Rubies this year. I gather Kirsten's is available from Target as people have gotten theirs in. Kirsten, Sam, Kit, and Molly are available for adults while Julie, Courtney, Mary Ellen and Melody are for kids. Wigs are also available to complete the looks.

I am totally here for the historical journals. SO EXCITED. Though I would have gone a liiiiiiiittle farther back in time than Melody. I would love Addy, but it would have to be her telling her story in flashback form much later on to make any sense. I really, really hope they keep going with these.
Oh, and I doubt I'll buy her, but Summer's art is cute as hell.

Hence the black background vs the white that it shows on the site.
