And with that, I am done. For now.

Totally finished swatching my polish collection. The last round of last year's BF sale orders is now drying with top coat and I am done. Until I buy more, obviously, but done is done. :D I'd originally planned to have this done Sunday and then yesterday was supposed to be organizing the polishes by brand in their proper homes but Sunday and Tuesday apparently required many a nap with the cat so... here we are.
Mums and I watched the 2018 Robin Hood movie after spending like an hour trying to find something she thought would keep her attention and that I didn't veto, or that she hadn't already watched/started/hated/etc. I'm sorry, Mother, but my limit for Tom Cruise is very, very low and basically only extends to him as a vampire, which is not a movie she enjoys. I did cackle a bit when she asked what my gift from last year was and when I finally realized what she meant (what DVD did my brother get me), I had to tell her it was Interview S1, which is not a mom-friendly show. :p
Anyway, I admit I went in with very, very low expectations because I'd heard it wasn't good. Ummmm... yeah, it wasn't. If you're gonna be anachronistic, I need you to lean alllllllllllllll the way in on that. Go full A Knight's Tale on it, dammit. Don't just wuss out with your costume choices. Mums kept asking what was with the flames in the mines and I mean, I dunno, so I told her it was for the DRAMA. Also not sure why we had Rob/Marian spinning each other so much in their falling in love montage. I will say it's not because the cast was bad, so that's a plus.
Also, I know I've asked this before, but since I never hear my name outside of Robin Hood retellings (or so rarely and it almost always winds up being Marion and fuck that noise), but do people with names that aren't pretty much tied to one property get used to hearing their name even when it's not directed at them, or is it always a bit of a record scratch moment?
Happy New Year!
