Why did no one tell me

Why did no one tell me antihistamines (so, in this case, Benadryl) kicked cramp pain to the curb? I had to find out by accident and then have it confirmed when I bought Midol for the first time in eons and actually read the active ingredients list.




The obvious downside is now I'm ready to pass out and have basically been dragging my very tired self til now only because I wanted the option to snag the new HT collab because I cannot say no to teal. I'm leaving now before I tell some well meaning but obvious child that you should ABSOLUTELY put your holo foil covered mug in the microwave despite the fact that the site you're buying it from says NOT MICROWAVABLE (or dishwasher safe).


I'd say I'm getting mean but I think that ship sailed awhile ago. Then again, I did make sure a coworker knew the ins and outs of the attendance policy so she could freak out less when sick.

Midol has never worked for me, so alas, I don't think the Benadryl trick will either. I'll definitely try it, tho, because menstrual pain is not to be f'ed around with.

Sorry to hear your snot factory is still open for business, too! Yick. One of my colleagues has basically been sick since Christmas with some unknown respiratory virus, so I wonder if you have something similar - it just lingers and lingers, like an unwanted pest.

I finally had to shut Mr B out of the bedroom because he was starting to try to wake me up at 3:30 am by jumping on me repeatedly. He started that nonsense up again this morning and I pushed him out of the room. I felt bad, but at least I wasn't tired, LOL!!

I loathe this whole thing where as I suspect I inch closer to the great goodbye to period years, it's like the period is taking it personally. That's not how things are supposed to work, body! Rude. It's still worth a shot, even if Midol doesn't do anything for you. In the past Midol didn't do much for me either but apparently this is one of those changes that worked in my favor. But the Benadryl (or store brand) works faster/better.

*knocks on wood* Pretty sure that last week's adventures in Benadryl were due to the cold aggravating my sinuses, as I finally stopped the being fine, fine, fine and then taking one wrong breath and hacking til I'd damn near see stars. I hope your colleague feels better soon and doesn't swap it out for anything else. Whatever this ick was (is?), I'd very much like to never deal with it again, thanks.

I'd have Adora talk to you about it, good Sir, but she excels in hopping up on me exactly 10 minutes before my alarm goes off. Which is still better than middle of the night, I suppose, but probably not a trick one wants shared. :p

Oh, lordy, I certainly hope not! I have been counting down the years until I am rid of this hormone-induced nightmare, and the last thing I need is for it to kick into overdrive with its dying breaths!

He appeared to have learned his lesson, as he didn't start in last night until much closer to the usual alarm time (tho on a weekend, there is no alarm). We'll see how long it lasts!
