impyI love that after congratulating myself for not buying anything from this month's PPU, I almost immediately fell prey to Zoya offering a 5/$25 sale. It's not even their best sale and it's not one where you could add more. 5 was the limit. I was going to walk away until I realized that they still had a few of their Colors of the Month available.
A couple of years ago Zoya started doing a limited edition shade of the month. Thing is, they didn't freakin' advertise that each shade was limited edition so a lot of us thought it was basically just a new shade every month, so we thought we'd have time to buy them later. Wrong. For a lot of colors, that was fine, but there are a few I'm going to probably try and hunt down or hunt down dupes at some point. I told myself that if they had enough colors of the month that I wanted to make it worth it (so basically 3 or more), and I could find another shade (or however many I needed), I could go for it.
Yeah, it wasn't hard. I skipped the neons and the cremes because Zoya's neons are iffy at best (I've heard decent to good things about Marisol but I crave shiny!) Quickly narrowed it down to these five:
Axelle:
The only one to not be a COTM, but damn. So pretty. *swoons*
Vienna:
December 2023's COTM. I told you, sparkle and shine is the name of the game. I'm not 100% sure how this will look on me as pale golds can get weird, fast, but SPARKLE.
Seren:
Swooning intensifies. I was a broke bitch in December so that's why I skipped but huzzah! She's mine.
Love:
Last February's COTM. Did I really need this AND Axelle? Probably not but look, they are not the same and I crave glitter, remember?
Lucky:
Lucky is last March's COTM and while I am quite sure I didn't need another green glitter bomb for St. Patrick's Day, I am also quite sure I didn't NOT need one either.
And I'm fairly certain that Zoya's finally moved to the Z-Wide brush as the default for these, so huzzah! I didn't say anything yesterday since I wasn't sure the order would go through given that almost none of the monthly colors were super easily found on the site, but they processed and picked it already so I'm hopeful!
