new AG stuff, not a drill

impyWas waiting to see if we got an online release for this, but I'm guessing that'll be tomorrow. Anyway, new AG shit hit stores Monday or Tuesday. Ooh, ahhh. We're gonna concentrate on the historicals and if I'm less lazy tomorrow or this weekend, we'll look into the modern stuff.
New-new items came out for Nanea, Melody, and Maryellen. We're using IG images and
Nanea:
Nanea got a new outfit and a war effort accessory set. I think the outfit is cute enough. I don't love it, but I do like it. I'm gonna need to see the accessory set in a bit more detail to figure out if I want.
Melody:
Melody sure is washed out here, huh? This is the biggest reason I was waiting. I want to see this look less...blah. Everyone is losing their minds over the salon chair and accessories and y'know what? I'll allow it. I want to see more of this in action, dang it. I'm mostly happy that Melody gets a casual outfit and wasn't forgotten. Huzzah!
Maryellen:
ME's -in-1 Outfit, Stove, and diner accessory set. The stove is apparently pretty heavy. Likely won't buy it, but want to see more. The outfit confuses me. The washed out pink and yellow aren't my favorite combo, but Jess suggested trying it on Melody and my interest went up a little more. I like the pattern as it appeals to my weird AG stuff. I do love the shoes, and it's nice to be able to say that again. ♥
Historical Re-do:
Not sure why they decided that the books had to join the outfits but uh... here we are? It's also kinda weird that Sam gets her birthday outfit and not her school outfit, which is actually one of her more iconic looks. In any case, yes, I did include two Kirsten pics because I love her and couldn't choose. Also, lazy and didn't remember til I clicked that I'd included two. Right before pics and things came out, I dreamt about Kirsten's school dress, so that's...weird? I want Addy's and need to remember to actually buy it. I wanted it something fierce when I was younger but never managed to snag it and it's apparently a moth favorite, so I'm wondering if they changed the materials any. I'll also likely snag Samantha's since my Sam's came from ebay but the seller was a dick and didn't disclose that there was an issue and I don't fully remember what the issue is right now, but it doesn't close properly in the back. Boo, you whore. Anyway. Sad that display Sam is back to looking kinda soulless. The classic mold is not in a good place at this point for me. Kinda loving that AG's calling these the Collector line but also... you know who likely already has these? Collectors. :p
Wondering why Addy's box is so covered in warnings while Sam and Kirsten basically have the same design. Guessing the pin on Addy's, though not sure if it's functional or just kinda a choking hazard if part of it breaks off?
Anyway. I have plans to go for most of these outfits but we'll wait on the accessories before I make a mental plan to get them. Obviously with the way of the world and the dipshit in charge, things are subject to change. Oh, prices!
When the cat isn't hopping up every 4 seconds, I'll hunt down the accounts I raided and link. Tired now.
