Honestly, same on withe BSC. Even with the overly snarky days of borderline "why are you even reading this?" reviews in the past, it's one of the few childhood things that still holds nearly the same wonder it did then. I even got to recommend the first 4 graphic novels to Cass for her girls because that also holds up. I'm not sure how much poking I could handle for that.
AG itself has managed to become a weird place for me, given fandom. On the one hand, the AG of my childhood and even through maybe... 2001-ish still remains relatively untarnished by that which came later. But given the amount of time I've spent in fandom (even if it's still somehow on the sidelines), I know enough to be a little apprehensive about how the book will go. But I think I'm actually gonna try and read it, whereas I dunno if I'll ever read the BSC one.
Kitty snuggles make the world go round. It's why people will contort themselves into pretzels to keep the kitty from leaving. I do wish she'd snooze more with me like she did the first day I got her but I will take what I can get and enjoy the extreme snuggle days when I finally do get them. Tell Mr. B I said hi!
