Spring? ugh

impyI went out on Sunday to help a friend with an ongoing project and it was quite nice, other than being a little warm inside... but outside was lovely with a breeze. So sunny. Such pretty clouds in the sky and leaves blowing around. I imagine all the gardens and parks and even the beaches were probably fairly well populated, as a lovely, perfect spring day.
Except it's technically still winter and I just KNEW as soon as I got home I'd need to throw myself into the shower because POLLEN. Gods, of all the things I miss about childhood, not being bothered by pollen is right up there. I did get a giggle out of someone in the comments of some random short being all, "why would pollen and humidity keep people from drying their clothes outside? I live in the tropics and it's always breezy, so the clothes get dry no problem. Won't the pollen just fly away?" The immediate onslaught of people, NICELY, pointing out that pollen and dry clothes are bad enough, but pollen and wet clothes? You're never getting that shit out. I stopped reading before anyone had pointed out that pollen can stain, but oh, it was glorious seeing all the comments about itchiness and the aforementioned pollen would now be baked into that clothing item. Glorious.
I should look up the bridge run to see when that particular hellscape will descend. Oh, goodie. The 28th.
Not sure if I spent the rest of my weekend in bed because the allergies/pollen required a Benadryl coma or if period was playing vampire. I suspect both, honestly.
