impyThe laws concerning cigarettes are completely asinine for the most part. They put up this little bulliten thing about store audits for tobacco sales, and it's got this long list of responses for when you basically just pissed off your hard core regulars.
I'm sorry. I think it's fucking stupid that I have to card my brother's former best friend who I know damn well is old enough to buy his cancer sticks because I know his damn birthday and he's a year older than the boy who's been old enough to buy cigs for a couple of years. Dude. Trust me. He's legal.
Having to card someone you know is of age, every single time? No. That's one of the perks of being a regular. Skipping that god damn step. But no. Apparently I'm to basically remind these people, "I could get fired and this would be bad." They don't care. They just care that you're between them and setting their lungs on fire. Not a good place to be.
Also, meant to mention this earlier, but I guess I needed a rant to get me started. I've really got to find a way to ask Mom to be more polite when she's feeling full on bitchy right after I get off work and we go to one of the stores on JI. Cuz these people? They come to the store when I work. I don't need them mad at me because Mumsy was feeling like a raging bitch. :p
Laaaaa. I need sleep. One more night of work and then weekend off.
