i. Am. so. Bored.
Jan. 23rd, 2003 12:15 amI could fall asleep right here and now. Instead I'm going off in search of prettiful Tara pictures. Why? Because I am obsessed. That and the only two people I can call without using long distance are with their signifigant others. Which is a whole 'nother rant in and of itself.
I'm being good and not attacking the thin mint cookies [not made from real girl scouts, btw]. Mainly because I'm pissed that jackass and fuckwit [my brother and his creepy friend who lives here...] ran off with the peanut butter yummy cookies. And since they're both fairly healthy young idiots, the box might surface one day, but the cookies are as good as gone. Le sigh.
Also waiting for snow. It's supposed to snow sometime tonight/tomorrow morning in the hours of like.. 6am. Which sucks. I sorta just wanna fall asleep, but I know I'll miss any snow we might get. Of course, if I stay up, we'll be snowless. Now to everyone else, this is probably not a big deal. But it rarely snows here. It's like hell freezing over and the whole city goes chaotic, but in that "woohoo!" way.
It's snowed three times that I remember.
- Once when I was 8, the year of zee Hurricane. Christmas Eve, looked out the window, cheerfully exclaimed "It's snowing!" [while taking a break from wrapping presents with my brother and father] and was told it was not and not to tease my brother. Well, ha! Snowing it was, and it stuck. Two days later I found out the joys of walking on thin ice when I nearly lost my boots to a vindicitve mud puddle down the street. :p
- Second time was when I was in 6th grade. This is only a flurry, btw, but mentionable because it happened in the middle of a freaky storm. Windy and cold and we lost power all weekend. Learned to play Mah Jong though, even if I couldn't say the winds aloud. [every time, I kid you not, someone did, the wind outside would howl]
- Third time was a few years ago. 2000 maybe? Was complaining to Ryan, Calli, & David on irc that it never snows here and then my brother calls up the steps that it's snowing. Snowball fight! :D
So, two real snows [the third stuck and repeated for at least one other day] I think means I can be excited about the possibility of another.
Although I am SO BORED.
