drunken stereotypes!

Another day, another message board crops up. This time it's for Black Sash, which will forever make me giggle thanks to the people over at Birds of Prey Online who pointed out that if you refer to it by its initials, it's BS. *snort*

I amuse easily, okay?

However I do not entertain easily. While watching Gilmore Girls: Beginnings yesterday, I remembered reading three of the GG books. You'd think for a series that praises books, reading, and brains so much that they'd oh, I dunno, make the books a little more interesting. They're pretty boring and if they didn't have pictures in them, I wouldn't have them on my list of books to buy when I see them at the paperback trader places. :p To me, the appeal of the show is the bond between Rory/Lorelai and the fact that you get info on both of their lives. The books cut the formula in half and just focus on Rory, so the really funny/insane things that happen to Lorelai, or involve Sookie or other grown up characters are completely left out. Thus you get half the story and little of the appeal.

For shame whoever approved them. For shame!
