Fuck the naysayers. ;) Tonight's episode of Buffy was good. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't mind altering, but it was a good solid episode. And for the season, this is an impressive feat. In a season littered with episodes that are only redeemed by certain scenes, this episode was the redemption for me. I laughed, I marveled at little throwbacks, and I cried. A little. Just a little.
Some might have a problem with Spike's role in the saving of the world. Either they're pissed the hell off at what happened to him, or they're pissed he was the one who got to finish the job as it were. Y'know what? Bah. Someone had to do it, and better Spike than Buffy. God knows what crawled out of the Scooby gangs' collective arse, but thank the Gods it did. Quips and tips of the hat to seasons gone by are enough to make me happy. Kinda.. weird having Angel there for a grand total of 4 minutes [including last week's glorified cameo] but hey. Angel fans might have enjoyed this, and it didn't make my eyes bleed, so yay for them!
My biggest problem was the damn thing went by soooooo fast. I swear, I looked at my watch during one of the commercials and was freaked out to realize it was 8:45 already.
Mall mentions, interaction, and the way the characters clicked. Sure, Faith's little um.. tirade with Wood kind of smacked of trying too hard, but hey. Faith. :D
So, you can hate the episode, and I'll love it. I'd have loved it more if we had Tara and not Kennedy, or even Oz, but Joss is no longer a God, so some miracles are just impossible to get.

While I think the cover shot of AH for FHM is horribly ugly [look at it and tell me otherwise.] some of the inside shots are quite pretty. So I bring you, my first all AH fanart... thing. It may suck, or you may like it. You can either wait the day and half that it takes me to actually update the site, or you can view it by copying and pasting the URL:

headache and I will now be doing some laundry. Wheee, fun.
