See Jane Date, See Holly Act.
Aug. 17th, 2003 12:03 amBased on the mail I've already looked at, I'm guessing I'm in the minority for liking See Jane Date. Which is a shame, because I honestly think it was a cute movie. I might change my mind when I read the book, but for now I'm almost completely happy with it. Almost because Holly's character seemed like she was supposed to finally get this depth that felt kind of tacked on. However, it was Charisma's baby [so to speak] and she was charming.
... I just said something was charming. Please, please shoot me.
That said, yay for the final boy toy. I was hoping it'd be him, but for some reason never put it together to figure out he was the guy Aunty dearest kept harping on and on about. I guess that's okay since I spent most of 1-800-Missing screaming at the TV "you idiots, the baggage was missing! Check the freakin' baggage!" Oi. Back to Jane.
Holly was delightfully not over the top bitchy and seemed to have fun. Also, someone over at the Charmed wardrobe & hair needs to take notice because seriously, whoa. Hot mama Holly, without the use of leather. She cries, I sniffle. *weep* I also soooo need screen caps. Yes, yes I do. Just to wall paper my room in. :p Or the computer anyway.
The only other nitpick was Jane's blowup to the brattiest cousin this side of forever. It just seemed... weird how she chose to react, or at least her speech. So I'm hoping that was a book thing that just didn't really carry over all that well?
So, yeah. Cute movie. Gorgeous Holly. Charisma is adorable and I'd forgotten how much I adore her [considering bad evil wonky Cordy and coma Cordy aren't really what I was looking for by way of a CC fix].
In other news, waking up early for nothing sucks.
