Shoulda watched Weekenders
Aug. 24th, 2003 12:11 amSo I made a serious error in judgement tonight. I fell prey to the marketing machine that is Disney. Give up now, there's no way you can truly resist. If they want you to watch something, you will sooner or later. It's only a matter of time.
Watched their revamped Cheetah Girls. Well, the original and then the "new" ending. Which, if they merged the two together might actually be a satisfying ending. As it was, you could tell when something semi important was missing, and that's never good.
The other thing missing overall was someone to step in and differentiate between good cheese and overcooked cheese that'll only give you a gag reflex. Oh, and someone needed to lay off the "Girl! You know I was thinkin', girl! and we need to -insert cheetah pun- girl!" ... girls. :p
Yeah... see what happens when left to my own devices? I watch crap. Followed by 1-800-Missing, which isn't as good as I keep thinking it will turn out to be. :/ I like Jess and I find Brooke kind of blah. But that's partly because Jess is in the books and the star. Now she's like the supporting cast member always guaranteed to say at least one line an episode.
Lesson for the day. Do not walk into the passenger side mirror. No, no, no. Especially don't do it when holding six phonebooks, thus sending your balance into a tailspin anyway. I did this Monday and I still have this freakishly big bruise that's all sorts of red and purple and painful to see. No pain to speak of physically, but I occasionally catch a glimpse of it when changing and wince because of how it looks.
Throat still sore and it's the kind that you have to keep eating/drinking, otherwise you feel like you're going to go insane. Blah.
