and all my hope is gone
Jan. 29th, 2004 02:50 amSpoilers behind the cut, sort of [I think I manage to be horribly vague for no good reason, but whatever] if you didn't see the latest Angel. And shame on you if you didn't. Shame! ...wait, mixing song lyrics. Woops.

After reading something A2 wrote, I have a command for all those who are ever so cool. Ready? I thought so. ;)
Find yourself a copy of Kabuki: Skin Deep by David Mack. Probably easier to find a trade paperback of it instead of the individual issues [not to mention cheaper, unless he went out and whored himself like certain authors/illustrators], but find it. Beat up a local comic geek and ask if they know where you can get you some of this artistic crack. If they don't know of what you speak, then revoke their geek license. [do not bother the kid if they're 14 or younger. Any older though and they should know. It's the law, okay?]
Anyway. It's fantastic. Wonderful. Good enough to make me want to sift through my massive amount of comics to find my copies and read a million times. I'm not saying you'll learn a damn thing, mind you. But you will be forced to turn the book upside down, sideways, at funny angles, and practically have to hold parts of it to a mirror to read it and you will love it for that. Why? Because it's spiffy. There are notes passed around and a loony bin and.. yes. If nothing else the art is pretty.
Although some people seem to be under the impression you had to read the previous stuff to understand anything about the book. That is entirely possible, but dammit, I can't tell people to just go buying stuff willy nilly. No, I need an exact TPB to give them. *muses*
Um, yeah, I think I'll hush, okay? Yush it is. Oh, and I hate NBC. They shoved Scrubs to Tuesdays again. Which isn't something to hate them for, but they've pretty much annoyed the shit out of me in the not playing Scrubs enough department. It's the only show I watch on their network, you'd think they'd care. :p [not really, but I had to say it]
