Things to do while the floors of your store are being cleaned:
- Get a bit light headed from the cleaning solution and fear you're going to puke.
- "straighten" the makeup while actually window shopping.
- ask about payday.
- pray it doesn't rain when you make it outside to wait.
- make lists. Lots of lists. Like stuff to buy should you remain employed.
- take your hair down from a bun, twist it back up, and repeat endlessly.
- wish you'd brought the book you meant to.
