don't judge me so harsh little girl
Jul. 2nd, 2004 10:24 amI don't know whether I mentioned this. I think I might have, but since it's amusing, I'll say it again.
There's this dude wandering around Charleston dressed as Jesus. If you suppose Jesus was white and all. Mom saw him again the other night. Weird. Three sightings so far.
All that spazzing about having to con someone into taking over for me? Not needed. Satan sent Pam up ten seconds after she clocked in. Yay! So, taking that as a sign of luck, I told mom the plan with Ryan coming back for a visit and she didn't swerve off the road and kill us. On the other hand she might make me talk to my father about it, and one, "I'm not going to get pregnant" talk between the two of us is all I can handle. In fact, it's more than I can handle.
Hrmm. I went to the trouble of making a birthday list this year, and dammit, I want to share. So I will. No, this is not me begging for gifts, but since my mother shared the following gem, I figure the only gift I'm getting from them is the Delancey I lent mom the money for... and I want my list seen by someone else. Plus it's prettier this way. :D
First, the gem:
When asked if I should bother making the list [which I already had, btw] Mom said that she wasn't sure. She didn't really want to think about the boy's birthday because it just pissed her off and made her feel guilty at the same time. Guilty because, I'm guessing, he's her baby boy and she doesn't want to not get him something, but pissed because he's a jackass and unworthy of a gift. :p So she just doesn't think about it. Unfortunately my birthday comes two days after his, and she can't think of mine without thinking of his and thus she doesn't think about mine either. dammit! The one time I sort of get what I want [them to not encourage senor asshole]... it backfires.
Anyway.

any of the Winx Club dolls [yes, I am five this year.]
CDs:
Afterglow - Sarah McLachlan, Life for Rent- Dido, Sing the Sorrow AFI
magazine holders because I'm a magazine whore. cheap is good since I currently use cereal boxes.
any Fearless novel after #26. I'm dying, man!
Firefly series on DVD
Buffy Season 4, 5, or 6 on DVD
That's it. We got some cheap stuff, some expensive, and I'm thinking I'm going to end up buying another of these really cute gift boxes, but in a larger size. Why? To shove assorted goodies. I don't even care that it's mostly pink.
And while some people like to just cut to the chase and give only a few options, I like to give people space. Choices. Plus most of that stuff is either really old [well, given the kind of stuff it is] and thus should be found on sale, or not found at all and just a wishful hope. ;)
I need a shower. *hugs to those who need 'em*
