I'm in a fantastic mood, how about you?
Jul. 28th, 2005 09:33 amSo, I was flipping through some magazine last night and after the numerous "OMG! Men think about sex lots!" articles, I stumbled across one on how young women around my age are pretty indifferent to the abortion issue. Not just my kind of indifferent where I'm aware but horribly lazy, but assume the, "OMG! You got pregnant even though there's like 80 billion different ways to prevent it? Then you deserve whatever you get, you slut!" position.
...whahuh? Granted this was in some vapid fashion magazine, so you never know where exactly they found these girls, or their findings but it's a little unnerving, all things considered. Also, who died and made these sorority girls queen? Since I can't say for sure what I'd do in that situation, I'm sure as hell not going to tell anyone else what they cannot do.
Bah.
In fluffier news, I flipped through zee mook and ohmylord, if I could sew and read the instructions for various things, I'd be in heaven. :p As it was, it took me til I made it to the end to realize that the first few pages weren't just showing off odd outfits and customizations, but the odd outfits were the patterns included at the back. D'oh. But there's one I want so badly it hurts a little. Yes.
Fan news: Not sure if the fan is just not as cool as I'd hoped, or if yesterday it was just hotter than hell, but I spent the afternoon trying to sleep and failing miserably at it half the time. Woe.
I'm off to clean the old fan [which will probably kill it dead] annnd take a shower, then plot some world domination and read some more of The Good, The Bad, and the Undead. Comments and stuff will have to wait til the threat of the boy throwing me offline is over.
By the way, dear annoying people in various LJ communities: I hate you, die.
