sae16 made one using the two shots I wanted most, so how could I possibly resist? Mm. MyScene. Yummy!
Work was work. I worked... alone. Sigh. Well, not counting manager types and pharmacy bound people. Which was, um... something. *shrug* I bought this nifty "Tension massager/back scratcher" thing which is a little slice of oddly shaped heaven.
Book-geek mode begins... now. Fluff books, anyway. I resisted reading the au pairs because everyone kept comparing it to gossip girl and the a-list which are both fun to read, but lacking in characters you don't spend half the book sincerely wishing they'd drop dead. But I was bored and these were pretty much the last books in my giant pile of books I snagged from the library other than one I didn't realize was in the middle of a series [don't you hate that?]... So, I grabbed the first one and took it to work.
Oh, good lord it's good. I was kind of worried because you've got the fallen golden It girl, the nice one, and the sex kitten. Which are the staples of this breed of fluffster book, and usually you know you're supposed to like one of them [frequently the nice one] and you end up wishing the bitchy one would do one of two things: up the bitch factor to eleven and finally off the other skanks or wish she'd scale back and not be such a huge bitchmonster so you could feel better about liking her best. Not so much the problem here. Each girl has her moments of "could you please die? thanks" and then it's okay to like her again. Realistic in an unrealistic and plastic sort of world. Love.
if you wondered... in GG, I frequently wish Blair would up the bitch factor and kill Serena because I loathe her. Loathe. She could kill Nate too and it'd be great. As for the A List... I like Sam best. Cammy is a bitch-whore and Anna is kind of annoying at times. Sam's annoying, but at least her baggage yields relatable results.
For those who think it's uncool to overuse the word bitch or call another girly type a whore, I assure you that a) your opinion on this matter is so noted and duly ignored and b) I call the non-girly types bitches and whores too. To me, they are genderless. Welcome to my brain, there's a $25 cover charge. Please pay the psychotic redhead on your way in. Thank you.
