I'm coming back from the dead...
May. 1st, 2006 02:11 amif I fall...
Currently racing towards the end of The Midnighters: Blue Noon... I think I'm 30 or so pages from the end and I don't want it to end. Not because I'm particularly in love with this one [meh, not as much as the previous two] but because when it's over, it's over. You may now continue to look at me as if I've gone completely sane. I understand.
Musically, back in love with Three Cheers..., and I'm also rather fond of the new AFI song. Is it wrong that I do a happy dance everytime I hear it? If it is, then I do not wish to be right, thank you very much. Only I can't listen to the radio right now as Widge is spending the week here and I don't wish to wake him up. I imagine that would be most uncool.
I spent the day taking bad pictures of the Pullips [and a non Pullip] because everyone knows the fastest way to have the dolly army grow is to take a group picture. I just hope this logic doesn't die just in time to mock me.
And just in case I wasn't dorky enough, I also spent the afternoon watching most of the Barbie Diaries on Nick. I missed the first half hour because I forgot it was on, and only managed to catch the end because my nephew wanted to watch cartoons and it was the only thing he didn't writhe on the floor when asked, "What about this?" He wasn't thrilled, but that's when we gave him the bug in a jar that glows!, so he lived.
...and other than prefering the MyScene style of animation, it was addictive as hell and had the desired effect. I want those dolls and I don't know why. Yeah, same old storyline, but hey, entertaining rehash of unpopular girl breaks the popular code and then goes full on ebil, only to realize the error of her ways just in time to keep from being totally horrid or something.
In outside of my room news, C-ass is either in Myrtle Beach or she returned. Dunno, didn't go. I have a love/hate relationship with MB. I love vacations. I hate that I end up sunburned whenever I'm there for more than 30 minutes. I can be slathered in sunblock and still end up a lobster. It's just most uncool. I also almost always end up overstaying my welcome. I have a limited threshhold for shopping pain, and I'm always ready to call it a day before everyone else.
Ari's working on planning her wedding. It sounds interesting in a good sort of way. It's still very weird to think she's going to be married though. I don't know why it is, just that it is. She's not the first friend to get hitched, but she is the first one where the friends of the bride aren't necessarily thinking, "what the fuck does she see in him?" So maybe that's it? Yes.
Pictures forthcoming, if you were interested.
