Know what's fun? Being woken from a fairly crappy dream by your brother, who informs you that your mother would like to speak to you. So you flail about for your glasses, hobble down the stairs pondering what anyone could want to tell you after midnight, and are immediately presented with the news that one of the few aunts you love is dead.

Granted, it's not exactly a surprise if you over analyze things, but... yeah.

More fun than that is trying to tell someone else the news, finding the words fail you, and mere seconds before the news finally sinks in, they scamper off for parts unknown, leaving you to just kind of sit there in shock.

I dislike being sucker-punched emotionally. I dislike it tremendously.
