I thought that with this whole election thing, I'd actually do more than casually scan the piles of trash that keep flooding my mailbox. More than asking other people whom I either like, respect, or think to be flaming idiots who they're supporting. A little thing called research.

With that said, I'm bored already. I have to vote because I think their first order of business [family =man + woman] is mind numbing. Mind. NUMBING. But I don't particularly like voting when I don't have at least a tiny inkling of who I'd like to win. It's wrong. I'm not a big fan of saying you have to vote, even if you don't give a fuck or have any idea what you're voting for. It's counterproductive.

I also know I should be far more politically minded than I actually am. Still, I'm working on it. I think. Maybe. I do love looking someone up and realizing within two seconds they're insane. It takes all my self control to not look around further and see how many batshit crazy ideas they have. I just scratch them out on my list [but not so much that I can't still read the name, so I can go back for a good laugh, or cry if they win] and move on.

Hmm. Hours later, mostly done. Hit a snag. Originally planned to vote for person A, as I know them and like them. Thing is, the little things I worried about? They support the evil. Which makes me want to cry. On the other hand, person B? Not so much with the evil support, but big with the political mud slinging. Oi. I feel dirty having to chose. The kicker? They're both my neighbors.

Meh.

Now it's raining and I'm left sifting through the nine billion people who want to join the school board. The fun thing about this is when you flip through the newspaper archive, some of these people are incapable of answering any question they're asked. Which tends to earn them a big fat no.

I'd like to change the raining statement. I'd like to upgrade to pouring. Yay.

Off to make some more cheesesticks [diet? what diet?] and dread standing in line to vote. Mwerp.
