impyFinished Through Violet Eyes and I wish like mad I could buy/read With Red Hands [I think that's the title, anyway] immediately. Good stuff. Really good stuff, actually. And you should know this since I do not regret buying it, and while I love to read, I'm fairly picky as to what I buy non-second hand. In fact, there was only one thing I had an issue with.
*spoilers, obviously* I get that Sondra and Evan did it, and sort of why... but not really. It's like the rest of the book was really well thought out and little things were planted and things were done so well, but when it came to explaining why these people would murder their friends, and one of them so coldly no less, there was much stumbling.
Work. It's odd. Nothing really happened while I was at the register, but man alive did it drag on and on and onnnnnnnnnnn. Some days it's just not that cool, man.
But unless the fates are overly cruel, I have a three day weekend. :D I am so happy about this, you can't even imagine the joy. So, to celebrate Easter and Freedom, I decided to spend a tiny bit of money and buy Mom, Dad, the boy, and moi mini easter baskets. [I figure when it's over, they can hand theirs over to the widget or store random stuff in 'em if they want] I also bought candy we all agree on, and then I bought a special piece of candy for everyone but widget. I bought him sidewalk chalk since I imagine he'll get plenty of candy from other people. Plus, the joys of being a little kid? Your concept of time and candy for certain holidays hasn't kicked in, so I can shower him with Easter candy when it goes on freakish sale. :D
Fixing the mood theme is a bit more annoying than I planned on. Woe.
