books, man
Feb. 21st, 2007 08:02 amHow to tell you're reading a Christopher Pike book:
1) There's a main character named some variation of Sheri.
2) Main character, somewhere, is covered in burns. Bonus points if this has all happened before the book begins, and leads to a big reveal. Triple points if the burns turn a formerly sweet girl into a fantastic bitch.
3) Someone fakes their own death in order to further their plans of revenge.
Mmm, yes, I am reading The Yanti, how did you guess? I thought the whole Alosha series was a trilogy, but I peeked at the end [I know, the shame!] and I see:
Ali's story will continue in the next book in the series
Nemi
So either someone can't count, I was mistaken, or someone said to hell with a trilogy. Which means my brain exploded. It's exceptionally vexing when you think you're finally at the end and then BAM, no answers for you. *pout*
However, my refund did come yesterday. :D I can buy junk! Or I could if I weren't "saving" it. And by saving I mean still trying to decide what to squander it on. Joooyyy!
