...that was the DVD? Oooookay, a bit on the odd/short side, but I'm also pretty tired and frustrated due to hair issues, so perhaps that's got something to do with it.
Hair issues!
Aside from the bright friggin' yellow I ended up for Cassandra's handfasting that wasn't, but actually was, usually my experiments in the land of hair dye turn out okay. Some are fantastical, some should probably never be repeated, but yellow aside, none have been horrible. Not even the gas station purple/red thing, which was fan-frigging-tastic during the afternoon light displays. This time I somehow managed to only actually dye the front portions of hair a dark reddish... color. I'd say red, and it was, but it wasn't red of a fun persuasion. So the choice was clear. Strip it or red-ify it. Ended up at Sally's where I was called in [seriously, at times like this you send someone else to do your bidding, kay?] and ohmygod, the attitude. Which, it seems, I gave about as good as I got, as I found out later that they thought I was mean. This delights me to no end. I'm sure other people have thought the same, but this is the first time someone not related to me has expressed such an opinion.
Of course, bad dye jobs do not make for happy campers. So... red-ification began anew. I'm thinking it was a bad idea as it dries. I'm not sure. I suppose if I could live through neon yellow, I can live through this as well, but I thank the gods that red may linger the longest, but fades faster than any other color. So it'll tinge every dye job from now until forever [as reds will always do], but give it a week or two and it won't be so... something. This is me optimistic. JOY. I might change my mind when it dries completely, but probably not about how long I hope it lasts. Not everyone was meant for the brighter reds.
Siiiiiigh.
