Ohmygod ,ohmygod ,ohmygod!
Or rather, oh my dolly god in triplicate.
There I was, looking up where the closest Family Dollar was and then trying to figure out where exactly the first two options were [Seriously, Savannah Hwy is pretty frickin' long, what it it being Hwy 17 and all] and the odds of them being that dollar store that prompts the, "wait, why does that dollar store have nothing but hair product crap in the window?" question. Because if either of them was that store, I'd prefer to skip it, thanks.
And then I look at option number three... and it's the dollar store by work. So my first thought is, "thank god, relatively safe..." And then I realize what I'm thinking. Yeah, cuz the area around Walgreens is
so safe. :P
Anyway, we hit that one first and we wander and I remember why I pretty much avoid dollar stores. So much crap, so much of it old, and so little space. I get a little creeped out. We wander and I realize I haven't been in this store since the day I went for my interview at Walgreens. Like, four years ago. The middle of the store is thrashed and I'm pretty much sure that I won't find the Icy Bling dolls when I look down and notice... Kennedy! So, so right,
ghosty4. Kennedy was the one I found first and the most of. Right behind Kennedy I found Nolancey [SCORE!] so I had to explain to Mumsy the Nolancey equation, but she didn't fully get it as later she said, "Too bad they didn't have Nolee." So again I explained, mostly along the lines of "That's why Delancey's a brunette...Nolancey!" She found this amusing.
They also had Chelsea whom I was actually searching for and Madison as well. :D I snatched all four up and then realized that I really could not spend $40 on anything at the moment, no matter how gorgeous they might be. So I put Kennedy down after noticing that she doesn't resemble a carrot as much in person. Good to know. Then comes the hard part, deciding between my desire to own a Nolancey, my love for the super cute Madison, and needing Chelsea. Mumsy lets this go on for about two seconds, then takes Nolancey from me and says, "Pick up Raphael, wouldja?"
If you don't speak Mumsy, that means Nolancey will be under the Christmas tree for me. :D So I was naughty and bought Chelsea [the only one they had, I had to] and Madison. This was after I found the other place they had the girls and debated which Madison to buy. The funky hair or the one with the spot on her forehead that might come off... and might not. I went with the latter as she was cute and I believe in the island of misfit toys. Plus, I'd been carrying that one around for awhile at this point.
*dances* It's been so long since I got a new MyScene and bam, now I've got three. Well, two immediate gratification sorts, one for under the tree, and let's not forget my Amazon goodies...
I'll return later with the story of the "helpful" person at Tuesday Morning. I definitely prefer the one closest to my house.
