so. tired.
Apr. 10th, 2009 07:28 amrandom stuff I think of when it's the 80's block on Chuck mingled with old memes:
book that creeped you out after the fact: Christopher Pike's Spellbound. Which, if you read the book as a pre-teen, you probably totally understand. If you didn't, well, your loss. The mental pictures I came up with still creep me out. Also, Scavenger Hunt. If there's an alternate reality where that finally made it to movie status, I'd love to visit.
movie that scared the crap out of you and probably shouldn't FX2. I know. You're wondering what the hell, but as a kid I was told I was going to go see some kid friendly flick and instead we went to see this. I spent the entire time pressed up against the wall, listening to the movie I should have seen and trying not to show how freaked out the bodycount was making me. Showers were not an option for the next year. It didn't help that when I came clean to Mumsy, she was less upset that I officially saw my first R rated movie, but that I'd seen one she wanted to see and wouldn't get to until it came out on video. That's right, Mumsy. I'll be sleeping with the light on for the next sixth months, but you... you'll have to wait twice that long to see the same movie. :P
book that first made you wish for brain bleach R.L. Stine's Superstitious. It is the only book I own that I flat out refuse to re-read. Ever. I'm not sure if I read it at a bad time or if it's as bad [both in story and in gross-out factor] as I remember. And the only reason I haven't gotten rid of it? It was a gift.
