What could this be?
Sep. 27th, 2010 11:27 amYesterday I had a plan. It was a good plan, I thought. I'll go out to N. Charleston, I'll hit the TRU and will be rewarded with absolute nothing OR it will be glorious. Monster High-wise that is. And if it is a big pile of nothing, then at least I will have the craft stores to cushion the blow.
Sadly, mother nature took one look at my plans and rained all over them. To top that off, I thought my breakfast would hold me longer than it did. About five minutes in the car and I realize "need food or will vomit" and that's never good. Had to go to two ATMs because the first was broken. Ended up with Taco Bell which is always a good thing in my book (shut it) and so the rain began in earnest.
Widget and I hit TRU while Mums went to find a gas station she could get in and out of. Widget and I admired the costumes and he tried to get me to buy him one. No-ooo, monkey. No. What about a candy pail? Noooo, monkey. But why? Because pails don't hold as much candy, they get heavier three times faster, and they break. Also, they cut into my hand when you inevitably decide you no longer wish to carry them to the promised land. We peeked at the Pokemon cards because he's been bitten by that bug. And then we looked for Monster High. Saw the Bratz and winced at the insane markup TRU is doing. (Seriously, guys? That's just wrong.) and found the MH section and it looked like a hurricane had blown through. Despair! WOE. And then Widget comes over and says, "wait, I'll find one" and he moves them around and I see...
( ...shiny! )
I love these damn dolls. For those who didn't pay attention elsewhere, Clawdeen's hands are painted so this one is kind of always rocking the fingerless gloves.
