Okay, with that over I can now safely say that it is colder than early November has any right to be. Brrr! My hands are like ice and while I might complain about the cold, usually it has to be about freezing for me to actually really feel it. It is most definitely freezing. I don't think the ice in my glass has melted at all. o_O
Woke up completely disoriented this morning. Widget came in and was mumbling about sleeping in and for a minute I thought I had slept the entire day away, but then he mentioned school and I instantly woke up and grabbed my glasses. I took one look at the clock and nearly freaked out because it was 8 AM. Only when I stumbled downstairs, completely frost bitten, did I realize I'd forgotten to set that clock back and at 3am decided that of course I would remember it was really an hour fast.
Note to self: You are much smarter at 3am than you are at 7am. Do not assume your brain functions as well in the morning. Blergh.
I'm hoping that Mom's foot feels better and we can go book hunting today. I feel bad because I offered to keep an eye out for some BSC/SVH books for someone when she mentioned the trouble she was having finding them. I had a couple of the ones on her list already and then she went looking for my missing books and ever since she's been extra lucky for both of us. Which is awesome, and I am fully prepared to take the "all you had to do was ask, I guess" credit, but still. I feel bad that she's done all the work and all I did (thus far) was rearrange my bookcase.
Which is another thing that soothes my jangled nerves. I was all keyed up last night after the boy spent the after dinner hour screaming at everything and everyone and ten minutes sorting my books back to the way they should be? I no longer felt like strangling people and could even laugh when the boy came by (it was more than ten minutes at this point, but I'd decided to rearrange while there) and did a whistle and said, "Jesus, I didn't know you had that many" in reference to my Sweet Valley High collection. I do. It's true. But that's because I'm almost done with it. Sort of. Soon I'll have a copy of every SVH book, but then I'll want to snag the various covers and that'll take some doing so... yes.
Now I'm off to see if I can figure out of these stores still exist or not. Wish me luck!
