I watch TV.
Jun. 8th, 2011 10:14 amFirst new show of the season was Switched At Birth. After a bit of a rocky start (I wanted to watch it online and ABC Family's site laughed at me and made me watch the first part four times), we eased into the show. There's a lot of potential here. A lot. Bay and Daphne are both fleshed out enough that Bay is more than just a spoiled rich girl and Daphne isn't as saintly as she seems. The downside is that due to the nature of the show, there are going to be more than a few scenes that cause that whole embarrassment for a fictional character thing that I loathe. (Someone yelling at a deaf person? Check. Parents who want to "rescue" their biological daughter without realizing that if they wanted to 'take' her back, they'd be opening a can of worms much bigger than they intended? Mmhmm.)
But there's something about the show that says it's going to be worth another look or two, so I give it a thumbs up.
