*hums* Well that was unexpected. You might recall that last month I ordered two cute Disney Animators' Collection dolls. They happened to be the first two to sell out. (Coincidence? We think not!) And then Ariel and Snow White disappeared as well. So... I bought Aurora for a couple of reasons. One, I am not a big Disney person beyond "d'awww, so cute. Now what?" so for me to be interested at all, it's a thing. Two) While I loved Aurora back in the day (I desperately wanted a doll or something and the best I got was her shoved in the background of a group picture in a coloring book. I am that frickin' old.) ever since the Disney Princess phenomenon crossed my radar, she's been kind of meh for me. Three) It's been pointed out just how much she looks like Eilonwy.
If you're all who?, I suggest you go re-watch The Black Cauldron. For years I worried that it was something I imagined because dude, no one knew what the hell I was talking about. Oh, life before the internet... so alone! It was one of the few movies I remember my father taking us to see and not requiring something in return. (Dad wasn't big on free. ) Of course it appears I would have been 4 at the time of its release... This could explain a lot when you think about it. Hrmm. Point is, it's one of my favorite Disney movies.
Long story short(er): She'll be arriving tomorrow. And now everyone is back in stock again. :P
Watched The Roommate yesterday. Mostly for Leighton Meester, who is awesome, but also because it looked interesting even if it wasn't all that original. Not sure how I feel about the movie. On the one hand, it was entertaining for the most part. On the other, it had an annoying habit of missing the boat. For instance: ( you do not... )
Besides, I already had SWF ripped off and that was in the land o' Sweet Valley. Good, good times. Also called The Roommate. :P But the movie did have the additional bonus of making me giggle at how much the leads look alike in everything else but this movie. It amuses me because I am easily amused.
