assorted stuffs
Dec. 22nd, 2011 01:19 pmRandom things while I try to decide what I'm going to do for the next little bit. One, I love my new phone. I luffs it. I find Amazon's little scan/search option hilariously bad at actually identifying any given book (Thus far it's gotten one) but still! The next time I'm at a bookstore, my dream can come true. :D
The 2012 AG doll of the year has had her picture leaked here/yesterday... about twenty minutes after I went to bed. Thus my theory that all the good stuff happens when I go to sleep is proven TRUE.
Anyway, thoughts on McKenna from a a picture of a picture: I think the doll itself is cute... but that's because I'm a complete and total sucker for that particular face mold. Seriously. Others have decreed her Chrissa with a different wig. Fair enough. She's also Lizbeth in a different wig. Some liken her to Marie-Grace, but that one I don't see from this particular image. The good news is that as cute as she might be, she's not cute enough to tempt me so far. Her stuff, however, may sing to Ivy. Danger, danger.
LJ's "update" is made of awful. If you're going to try and look pretty and sleek and shiny and sacrifice functionality in the process, you should at least manage to make sure you do look sleek, shiny, and modern. Otherwise, y'know, you just look dumb. :P
Most of my holiday cards went out, so if I've got your address, check your mailboxes soon.

That was from yesterday. I kept thinking I'd add to it, but you know... I didn't. I'm so freakin' tired right now that I think I'm just going to go to bed. I overslept yesterday which is usually a sign that I've been cutting my sleep back too much.
On the squee side of things, Mums and I hit Target because we decided that if I wanted the exclusive Ghoulia sets about the same amount and Target had theirs on sale for about $15 off, I should grab that one and then after Christmas, if TRU isn't a dick about things, get that set. I've gotta say, TRU is made of suck with their price gouging. I watched the Sweet 1600 dolls just go up and up and up in price. It's ridiculous but people are going to pay it because it's not scalper prices, or they want it hardcore for the holidays, or they want to say they're in the first group or... whatever. People can do whatever they like with their own money, self. And if Target hadn't been having that sale, I'd have been at the TRU hoping for some MH goodness myself.
Point is: MH for Christmas is a go!
