Today is also a day
Jan. 7th, 2013 07:29 amYesterday I cleaned off the desk up here. I still have work to do, but on the actual desk the only things left to do are the slow removal of glasses that got buried under magazines and things (I am, sadly, a slob, and the Widget and Mums do not necessarily help with this. Widget moreso than Mums.) and the pile of papers that are probably 80% Mums and the rest are mine. :p
So, with all this new space freshly found, I worked on my re-rooted Franke'nGhouls. I'm seriously debating getting a re-rooting tool to finish this nonsense because I'm maybe 45% done and it's a royal bitch to do. That said, it's getting easier to imagine what she'll look like so that's good. It pushes me closer to my goal for the year, huzzah! I figure I'll do another couple of rows today. I can't afford the tool til Friday at the earliest anyway.
I also made dinner last night. Funny how spaghetti, which is a meal I can normally make in about half an hour took damn near an hour and a half yesterday. Frickin' new pot took forever to boil. FOREVER. And when I recreated the experiment this morning (breakfast of champions!) it took just as long, even when I popped the lid on. The pot and I need to have a chat, I see.
To do today:
In MH news, I'm caught up on Draculauras that I've seen, or could reasonably assume to have been in the area. WOO. (Which means Picture Day and Scaris are still not here because I haven't seen them and while I never braved JCP to see that one in person, it's a safe bet that she did arrive in stores.) I'm also, using the same logic, caught up on Lagoona and Abbey. I can't really say the same for Spectra since that GA!Frankie was on the shelf, leading me to believe Spectra was as well. Still!
Which means I'm considering a comparison picture for Draculaura, Lagoona, or Abbey. *nod* Draculaura's would be a huge undertaking (and involve deboxing) while Abbeys would be slightly easier (except for the deboxing). So maybe Lagoona because she's my baby, and while I'm not exactly 'done' since I believe in twinning her to extremes, she's just awesome. *muse*
Realistically I probably won't get around to doing it. :P
Can it be Friday yet? I have things I want to buy but no money. I should probably make a list of stuff I wish to acquire sometime and then figure out the best way to attack these things. Sometimes the list makes me realize I don't particularly want item x, or it makes it easier to see "duh, this is on the chopping block, buy it now!" but I hate making lists because the universe always interprets this as "we'll be takin' your money in unfun ways now!"
I'm off to try and clean a little and see if the camera has batteries that work. If there's something you know (or think) I have and you want/need pics, lemme know and we'll see whether I can work my magic.
