Awkward is really an awkward word to spell. I loathe it.
I need advice! I've gotten C's take on it, but I like to have a variety of responses.
( Why I don't give out my number. )
Looked at two houses yesterday. I really love the price on one, though I'm not sold on the neighborhood. Or the house itself, really. It's not bad, but it's also a one bathroom place.
I... am kind of in love with the other place. I shouldn't be, because the floors kind of roll and the steps to get to what will be my room are just insane so I think I'd have to actually hire movers to move any of my furniture past a certain size. But you know that moment when you walk into a place and you mentally start decorating? And even all the weird things that the owner is apologizing for you're like, "no, no, I love it!" It's not perfect, but it's willing to take the dogs (both places are) and I'd have my own floor essentially. There are these bookcases in the living room that are fabulous. There's this tiny room that has no real purpose other than having no windows that I recall, and when Mums pointed out the house wouldn't really hold our books I pointed out "The pencil sharpener room! It could be our own mini library!" There's even a secret room, guys.
I really love it but Mums isn't sold, I can tell. Which isn't to say that we'd even get it, but I'd love to try. When she wakes up, I'm going to ask her to call the guy back... He even offered to put in a railing on the steps to the front porch for Mums!
