(no subject)

Two things before naptime:

1) According to the company magazine, for the fiscal year of 2013, Walgreens sold 90,000 bottles of nail polish a day, every day. I feel as if I have bought at least a fourth of those.


2) Other than the resurgence of T.S. and a few awesome people, I have reached the point where my facebook reactions to just about everything else are along these lines:

Holiday cards!

Would you like a holiday card this year, fresh from the new address? It will be filled with love and possibly glitter or confetti.

If you find yourself saying yes, yes please! and then asking but how do I get one of these?, all you need to do is comment to this or send me an email with your address. If you do not celebrate Christmas, you should probably remind me of that so you don't end up with a well intentioned Merry Christmas card.

Comments are screened so you don't need to worry about everyone knowing just where to stalk you. ;)

If wishes were fishes

The ornaments arrived today. They're smaller than I thought they'd be (I have no grasp of spacial size based solely on dimensions given) but they also don't have a really annoying ridge where the two halves meet so I'll call it coming out ahead. I was irked as hell to see them in a non padded envelope without the benefit of bubblewrap or anything, but the post office site tells me that odds are good they paid about what they charged me for shipping. Still, on that particular auction they should mention it's not possible to combine shipping for those items. Those items plus something else, maybe. I dunno.


I'm cranky. I think it's PMS, really.


So, let's think of happier thoughts.


Like, for instance, my holiday wish list!

- A nifty layout for my LJ. I got tired of the one i was using and I'm not exactly in love with this one and I'm too lazy to make my own or hunt down one.
- Tell me a story. I love a good story.
- Monster High. Only, I'll tell you a secret: I accept any and all MH. It's true, I do not discriminate. My favorite character, if I've never made this clear, is Lagoona and I will twin her quite happily. The only Lagoona I'm missing flat out, at this point, I believe is the newest Dead Tired (the one without the Hydration Station), though the Black Carpet/Frights Camera Action one is out now, too, isn't she?
- 80's/90's juvenile fiction. I need to find my list of missing BSC/Sweet Valley Twins, but I also love me some Sleepover Friends and Gymnasts books. AG wise, I'm only missing one Kirsten book (I'll edit this with the exact one), and I'd love the Molly or Kit series.
- If you're going big on the doll front, I'd happily adore any of the historical pajama sets I don't already own. Those would be: Caroline, Josefina, Marie Grace, Addy, Ruthie, Julie, or Kit's nautical set, though that one will likely not be available direct from AG.
- Ever After High: Currently I own Wave 1/Regular Apple, Briar, and Maddie, as well as the first book. Which leaves everyone else.
- The Weekenders on DVD.


Other stuff on my list that isn't likely to be helpful to you:
- Glassware. I include all manner of things you can drink from in this. Just about every glass I get, someone else steals or uses and then breaks. Not even my Charmed mug was safe from this fate.
- A lamp. I believe a lamp is what makes a room cozier and I would like one for my room since my two lamps broke during the move. :(
- A DVD rack/bookcase type thing.
- A comfy chair to sit in either for my room or downstairs in the living room.
- Odd or pretty ornaments for my little blue tree.
- Magazine files for my zillions of magazines. :P


I like shiny things, both figuratively and literally.
