(no subject)

   I am not the most social of people. I'm still pretty awkward in person and online I take a good long while before I'll say something, and even then I've got a fabulous track record of either chiming in too late (not a result of overthinking something, simply my hours) or killing the conversation dead (I don't know, a skill maybe?). Which kind of convinces me to not say anything further because what is the point, y'know?

Still. Sometimes I try. Every so often it seems to be a success and I cheer. And then other times the conversation doesn't die. It just slips right around me as if I weren't even there and it's kind of hard to figure out wtf.

And then there's the point when you have to ask a question and the silence is deafening. I try not to post questions on PT because they almost never get answered or they don't get answered nicely.*

Sooooooo. Friday, there was a big AG sale on the Today show's Jill's Steals and Deals thing. By the time I found out about it, some of the dolls had sold out and they were dropping like flies. I tried to snag one and she sold out while I was checking out. Soon the only non-bitty option was #50. I wandered over to the review section on PT and realized she was actually the doll I thought the other one was (only... how did I mix up bangs and no bangs?) so I hopped on her and huzzah!

The waiting began. She didn't sell out for awhile, btw. When my cold came a knockin' yesterday, I put up a pic request. #50. In anything. At all. Just a picture that wasn't this:




It's been awhile and it's been read a fair bit and nothing. Nada. Zilch. Not even someone else chiming in with a, "Me, too!"

I'm not sure if it's just that no one has her (I'm fairly certain at least one of the people in the review section doesn't have her anymore) or if this sale pissed so many people off or what. I get it. I missed the last one and it hurt like a mofo to see everyone squeeing over their gets last go round.

Soooooo... I wait for her to arrive because at this rate, I'll be able to reply to my own thread before anyone else does.

I can squee here, right? Right. So. This doll. She's gonna need a name. She'll be my first Addy mold doll that's mine and not bought for Cass. To be honest, I kinda figured #26 would be my first Addy mold but $67 for a doll and two outfits? It's like, buy the outfits, get the doll for free! Apparently she's got sorta textured hair, somewhere between not at all and Addy. I'm kinda excited, but trying to keep from being too excited because they still haven't marked her as shipped.

I posted that request thread because I hate being sick and could use the distraction.

Sadly, instead I got my first nose bleed in years. That was fantastically gross.

Time to fire up some Criminal Minds on Netflix and clean up a bit so I can Halloween this place up...

*- Yes, I still hold a grudge from eons ago when I asked if anyone had a pic of #11 in anything. ANYTHING. I was told to go look at the reviews. Um, I did. Said I did, even. But shortly after that it suddenly became cool to pic request anything and everything.
