My MyAG/JLY/Whatever Letter Soup #50 came Friday. :D Unfortunately I was in the midst of a serious funk and could not properly enjoy her then. We'll see if I can manage any pictures today, although I immediately changed her into her pajamas because I loathe the shirt she came in. (I think the capris are cute and I must be the only person who loves those shoes?) I really, really love that she had jamas to change into as well as a dress that she may swap her PJs for.
I seriously overextended myself yesterday (and to a smaller degree Saturday as well). I took Angel on a pretty long walk as we explored the neighborhood. Thing is, it was maybe 60 degrees at most and I wasn't in long sleeves and I'm also still in the throes of a cold, even if I did feel much better.
Then I decided to sweep off the back porch since that hadn't been done before we moved in (and, from the looks of it, not for awhile before then either). So I did that and finished up the spider sweep I had Widget start a week ago. And then I rearranged things out there in an effort to find some room so that maybe we could put a chair or something out to enjoy the cooler weather. Then I got the brilliant idea to try and straighten the storage room out there and that yielded the knowledge that there is either a critter in one of the boxes out there or a very, very big Palmetto bug. I didn't find out and I don't want to find out, truthfully.
I did manage to clear out a LOT of space, though, so that's good. We'd have a lot more, though, if the boy would ever get his crap. :/ (As in, I believe half the stuff out there is his. Half might not even be generous enough.)
All of this so I could try to start decorating for Halloween. Because, if I'm being honest, I haven't felt all that Halloween-y this year. :/ Yesterday was probably the closest I've felt in awhile and it wasn't really fall weather here, that was basically what our Christmas feels like.
I feel off and I don't know what to do about it.
Oh. I also managed to hang the painting Mums and Papa bought when they bought the house of doom eons ago. Have to find a stud to hang the painting of my grandmother, though.
Things are slowly (and I do mean SLOWLY) inching towards being less "the house of cardboard" and more of an actual home. It's just ticking me off that I feel like I'm doing 90% of the work.
It's insane to wait for my manic cleaning periods, k? Because they don't happen all the time and even if you could assume that every Sunday I would go off my rocker and CLEAN ALL THE THINGS, I shouldn't have to. Someone else should be unpacking shit and making sure it went away, or finding a place to stash the stuff we're not going to unpack any time soon for whatever reason.
(Self, raid under the painting and move that stuff to the storage room and move the other boxes in the room that aren't likely to be gone through any time to their spot... yeah. That'll work.)
Annnnd I wish the original dates for the release of the new AG stuff had been correct because that would be today. But if I'd ever bothered to look at a calendar, I'd have known it was off by two days. Woe.
WOE.
