Let's catch up, shall we?
Aug. 16th, 2015 07:36 pmSchool starts tomorrow, so Widget is running around like a fiend enjoying his last day of freedom. Which is probably smarter than the way the boy and I used to celebrate our last day: by lounging around bemoaning our fate. Though, to be fair, I did that in between getting my new school supplies ready. I was always torn between wanting to go back in the hopes that this year would be awesome and knowing that it wouldn't be. After elementary school, that is.
I think the last time I legitimately looked forward to school was the year I started sixth grade. Up until then, even at the worst of times (hello, kid stomping my foot til it bled or girl who would pinch me until I would flinch every time I saw her) I liked more about school than I disliked. Sixth grade destroyed that and everything that came after was basically just reinforcing that.
But I don't feel like rehashing horrible memories, so we'll move along. Facecrack alerted me to the fact that once more Cass is having Sunday dinner and where is my invite? Nowhere, I tell you. Nowhere. This is like, three weeks after being told that Sunday is their date night and that means no talky. Uh. Huh. It's funny, I think she's actually invited me to these things maybe a handful of times and I've always had to say no, either because dinner sounded awful (I'm picky even when I'm trying not to be) or because I have plans, but still. You extend the invite, woman. Meh. But considering the amount of crap I've heard about her marriage as of late, it's probably best that I don't see it in action for myself.
Instead, I'm torn between waiting for the Widget to arrive and declare it pool time and trying not to fall asleep.
I'm exhausted and I don't know why. I slept much of the day and I don't really remember waking up a lot or anything, though I did wake up with a headache so maybe that had something to do with it? *muse*
Onward: I have decided to never believe the post office when they tell me they're delivering something on a Sunday. Unless Amazon is twisting their arms, they don't do it. So tomorrow looks like it'll be a fight to the candle finish. Who will win? B&BW with my first candle order or YC that I ordered first? Who will it be? And will I make good on my threat to burn one candle upstairs and one downstairs and then sit on the steps and bask in the (hopefully) amazing scent?
If you were playing along at home, tomorrow we might try for pictures of some of the Halloween stuff I've added this year. My cauldrons arrived yesterday (yay!) and my mug is tiny and cute. :D I bought a small silver pumpkin last week when Mums and I checked out the craft stores and I have a couple of crafts to do sometime tomorrow, maybe.
I found the new Wet n Wild Wild Ones polish/lipstick display at work Friday and bought the polishes last night/this morning. Allllllllllll of them. There were only six and at 1.99 before my discount, well... I think I'm going to start with the blue one this evening, assuming I wake up enough to be trusted.
