When forced to choose between these two...
Sep. 7th, 2015 02:44 pmWell. My illusions have all been shattered. Cass and I were talking about The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen being on TV (why do you mock me, movie, why?) and I mentioned yay for Dorian Gray and she went ick, he was the lesser Lestat. Which is true, but his Dorian more than made up for it. Anyway, this lead me to Tumblr where I learned that if you search Stuart Townsend, you will find a lot of Lesser Lestat love.
I mean, both movies are pretty awful adaptions of their source material, but QOTD is SO AWFUL even as a movie and I at least have fond memories of laughing so hard with Ari that I thought we were going to get kicked out of the movie theater when watching League. Meanwhile D was just like "wtf are you two laughing at?" Everything!
But I can't point that out to Cass because, well... Obvious reasons.
Sigh.
Anyway, I shouldn't have to say this, but League is a way better movie than Queen of the Damned.
