Aloha, people
Oct. 27th, 2015 02:39 pmAhhh, vacation. My favorite time of year. Well, actually this is my favorite time of year and my favorite of vacations. Halloween. When my powers intensify and my happiness meter is more likely to fill up without a lot of work. :D It's rainy and cool, and I love it. Yesterday, as the storm blew in, was windy as hell and it looked creepy and scary and if not for the sounds of branches cracking, I would have been in heaven.
So, let's catch up, shall we? I watched Supergirl last night. It had a couple of moments where I thought I'd missed something important, and I did have to make a choice between HD that kept cutting off people's heads (why should I have to make this decision, this damn TV is huge! I should be able to see everything! I don't understand) or really crappy quality because the TV is made for HD but at least I could see people's heads. It was most vexing, really. But that's not the show's fault. I give it a thumbs up, especially for Helen Slater's and Dean Cain's cameos because I might've howled.
I've been working on my very wordy list of favorite EAH versions of characters. It's long. It's probably nonsensical. I also realized about 3/4 of the way through that I could have just shown all the versions and declared my winner instead of making myself discuss EVERYONE. Sigh. I am an idiot sometimes.
Tomorrow or Thursday should be post office day, depending on the weather. (Today would have been, but the rain did complicate matters.) I'm trying to hit a dollar store and buy some cheap candle holders to elevate my fake pumpkins so there's some visual diversity in their heights. Naturally, the dollar store next to the WA Teeter is being turned into a Wonder Works. Boo. Hiss. I liked that one. :/
Hrmm. I've had a few McRibs this season, though yesterday's might be my last for awhile. It depends on whether I try and go out on a high note or accept that sometimes it's better to end on mediocrity rather than disgust. This is not a place for you to tell me the evils of McRib because for me, they're yummy and I don't need to know anything more.
As a follow up to the last issue I mentioned here, it appears I dodged a bullet in not going*. Little girl who is always pawned off on me, the one I was assured had a babysitter and wouldn't be there? She was there. And apparently (and if you get the reference to this, I will love you forever) Cass accidentally threw a Moonlight Madness party. ( Which is... ) Considering how small her place is, I'm not really sure where I would have ended up to avoid seeing shenanigans because I don't think I would have fallen prey to it. On the other hand, one never knows, I suppose.
Now, I'm gonna go rustle up some food and check the mail. Expect a huge EAH ramble in the coming days.
*- Instead I got to stay home and bear the brunt of Widget's verbal assaults when he was busted lying and stealing. Again. But I probably would have made it home just in time for that anyway so enh.
