Jan. 6th, 2016 09:51 amThings to acquire in this new year:
New sheets. Possibly two sets. My current ones are kinda... well, they've seen better days, truly.
Hit up the Bring Back My Bar Scentsy sale and stock up on some Cherry Almond Pie because ohmylord, do I love that. A little goes a long way (or did, who knows if they altered the formula, they say no, my nose says mebbe) and everyone else claims to hate it but they kept stealing it so clearly I need a six pack like now. Also, bulbs for the warmers because the cold apparently murdered two this week.
I really do need to figure out lipstick storage. I found two ideas that are possibilities. One involves recycling my candle jars when I'm done with them, but it also involves hot glue and I think we all know that I am only so crafty. I do wonder if it's possible to adapt it to fit my needs. The other is less pretty, but is probably easier to do, plus there's always hitting up Staples like
luxken27 has been telling me to since the dawn of time. (Damn you, vampire hours and only remembering to look online when I have no money!)
On the plus side, I've actually been much better about wearing my lipsticks/glosses/stains. I do wish I had people nearby I could pawn off the stuff I try and realize "holycrap no" but cannot return for whatever reason. For instance, Revlon's Butter Balm things are going away and I snagged four because I had a LE one awhile ago and it's the most awesome thing ever and the fact that it's green would always make people do a double take before I put it on) so I figured the colors might be awesome. Yeah, I look god awful in Sorbet. It's bright pink and just not a good look for me, no ma'am. But I don't think Mums would fare much better or be interested, and Cass doesn't do pink and well... my circle is small, guys. Nail stuff is easier to give away. Oh, the other three colors I snagged: Creme Brule which is basically nude and not in a sheer way, but in a "let's turn your lips flesh colored for a bit until it warms up or you get used to it or something", Peach Somethin' (laziness) which is awesome, and Candy Apple Red which is an unfortunate orange that turns more red, or again, maybe my vision pulled a trick on me. Who knows. I chose poorly is what I'm saying.
I should shower but it's like, 28 degrees right now and I know as soon as I dry off just enough, the dog is gonna say "Walkies!" and then I'll freeze to death. Quite possibly literally because honey child, we're just not used to the cold down here. And I hope you read that in the thickest Hollywood Southern Fried (but not country) accent you could muster, Sugah.
I'm off to double check bills and stuff. Wish me luck!
