Ways to not wake up
Apr. 29th, 2016 07:20 pmIf you greet me upon waking with the news that someone has died, please do be looking up the info, do not then proceed to chatter on aimlessly.
A) I've just woken up and I need time to not want to punch things because awake is awake. Nyargh.
B) I just woke up and you just told me someone I didn't dislike is dead. I kinda need to process that.
C) I cannot multitask this early in my morning. I swear, I'm gonna start waking people up at the crack of dawn and chattering to them until they deck me because they don't realize it's the same damn thing.
The person in question is my brother's ex-girlfriend. Well, one of them since he does have a rather long list, all things considered. She was one of the only ones I could probably identify on sight and, had she lived longer, probably done so for the rest of her life. The only other one I could say that about right now would be Widget's mother. Anyway, said girl was one of his better exes, though their breakup was messy and I think the boy had romantized the breakup in the years since. He and I also got into a huge screaming match sparked by my run in with her at work, probably about ten years ago. She was probably the best of them when it came to Widget, as she'd actually spend time with just him, hanging out and playing.
She was also the only one I didn't have 'muted' on FB, though apparently sometime before she committed suicide she deleted her FB.
I feel awful for her son and for the boy, because even if he's gone through and revised their history into some epic romance it wasn't (I'm not saying it wasn't a big deal, but I'm saying he's erased the flaws that were there), it's still gotta suck. Also, he's got a fairly long list, all things considered, of friends who have died very young.
But I hate it when someone uses someone else's death to wax poetic about other people, so let's bring this back around to K. She was funny and smart and nice to me. She had a wicked sense of humor and she was good with Widget. She was pretty in an unconventional (to me?) way and had the modeling background to go with it. I was looking forward to seeing who she was going to become, y'know?
Sad panda.
