New shows and Hugo
Sep. 21st, 2016 11:47 amAh, fall. When new television shows full of promise roll out. Not to be confused with mid-season when shows that either needed tinkering or are likely to tank when up against too much competition roll out. :P (And I say this as someone who has loved many a mid-season show, but they do not tend to be long for this world.)
So far I've sampled two new shows and the results have been mixed. First up?
The Good Place. I thought this one looked super interesting because of the premise (The Good Place is Heaven and Kristen Bell's character gets in by mistake. Wackiness might possibly ensue) and because it'll be airing with Superstore which, btw, you should totally be watching because it's hilarious and returns tomorrow. If you've ever worked retail, even for a day, you'll appreciate it.
( Spoilers? )
The other one was This Is Us. I went in knowing the following: a big to-do was made about Milo's butt in the trailer (which I did not watch), everyone's lives eventually intersect somehow, and there's a twist. That's it. Oh, and Mandy Moore's in it.
( Spoilers for sure. )
For my lovely
luxken27, you might enjoy it simply because of how many fandom streams it seems to possibly cross for you.
Ah, 27 years since Hugo. So old. Still, it's weird how vividly you remember some things while others are a blur.
