So I voted. I miss the last place I voted at (the tennis center) because it was not physically possible to have a line as long as the one we just endured. We got there maybe 10:40ish and the line was at the street. It's a high school so uh, that's a long line. Longer when you realize how they had to snake it through the courtyard and the cafeteria. Basically the line never ended.
It's a good thing I didn't finish my book before going because uh, yeah. I'd have been SOL.
We were in line behind this family and the little girl was dressed up as a little Hillary. She was adorable. Seriously wanted to take her picture but I don't photograph kids I don't know (and even if her parents had given permission, it'd seem weird) because so cute!
As we were driving to get lunch, it hit me that even though I live in a painfully red state and the woman in question isn't really beloved, I still had the opportunity to vote for a woman for president. Had my choice between two, actually, and that kinda seemed like a big deal.
I'm not asking anyone who they voted for and I wish people who voted Trump would not tell me because I'm sorry, but it makes me think a lot less of you to know that with all the shit he's said and done, you still would rather vote for that asshat than anyone else running. Really. Really. Really.
Anyway, I have to work tonight so I'm gonna go knock back some Zzzquil and zone out til that kicks in. Good luck, America. You're gonna need it.
Oh, and the purple hair remains awesome.
