(no subject)

Huh. I'd link whatever post I made about it originally but I can't find it and also I'm too lazy to really go in depth to search for it, but eons ago I got one of those little class action lawsuit postcards about Justice and their pricing weirdness. It's around here somewhere, but after my last round of cleaning, I figured nothing came of it and put it away. Possibly in the trash, possibly just in a basket of paper to go through later. In any case, I'd gone to the site and signed up and figured what the heck, it was worth a shot.

And then months and possibly a year went by and anytime I'd randomly type J into my address bar on the computer, it would pop up and no news at all. Yeah, my mail had a check for $7. Huzzah!

Also got my Hallmark October Debut catalog thing and an invite to the store's celebration/sale. Why? Because I went last year to get Cass a Sally. They don't have any NBC stuff for this one so I will likely not be going but I will say that each time I wander through the Hallmark stuff, I see a glimpse of an alternate universe where I am the crazy Hallmark lady. For some reason, in this alternate universe I also have kids. I dunno, it's just how the universe goes. Probably because that's how the Hallmark movies go. :P


My days off were supposed to be spent changing my shower head, doing copious amounts of laundry, and getting the Halloween stuff out of the shed. I tried the shower thing but I need a wrench and despite the fact that we should have a BILLION tools around here, wrenches included, they have all disappeared. Widget says he loaned his tools to a friend and despite promising to get them back yesterday, he did not. "I'll get it tomorrow." A) No you won't, because if you could've, you would've gotten them today and B) I needed it TODAY. Also, C) more than half the tools in the house weren't yours to use/take/do whatever with so... nyargh.
Look. I want a shower that isn't basically me standing under a bubbler, hoping for an accidental hiccup of water pressure. (My shower head is obviously giving up the ghost.)

I started the laundry but then got distracted by the Halloween which involved going into the storage shed of doooooooom and hoping Widget had sorted things out. It looks like he did, btw, so I grabbed all the Halloween ones and thought, once more, that I should really get matching boxes for this so I could just look and go, "Ah, yes, Halloween" instead of having to guess or flip to the correct side to read things. In case you wondered, we have nine boxes of Halloween decorations. To be fair, a lot of that is because I have a sick need to buy a new pumpkin every year. And by "a" pumpkin, I usually mean at least two. Also, one of those boxes is a Scentsy box that is supposed to have my Halloween warmers but only two (of the three I keep in there) were inside. So what did I do with the third? I'm hoping it's under the bar with the other warmers, but that's behind the dog's bed and I haven't timed things right to look.

I'm not completely satisfied with my decorating, but the stuff is mostly out and just needs to be tweaked. I really like the "This House Is Guarded By Magical Black Cats" section of the bookcase, though it will require some light to make it pop. I also like my little mica tree that I bought this year as it finally, finally makes the tiny Scentsy haunted house from a couple of years ago not look completely out of place. I just need to figure out the best place to put them so they don't get dwarfed by everything else.

I still need to put up my bats in the hallway and some stuff outside beyond my wreath which I have learned would make an excellent centerpiece with my sparkly orange and gold pumpkin in the middle, should I ever need it to for whatever reason. (I had it on the couch that way as I emptied out the boxes.)

Watched Daria while doing most of my stuff yesterday and the day before. Alas, ran out of episodes to watch online. Woe.

G'ah, suddenly I'm really, really tired.
