Boxed goodness

Ah, mystery/beauty boxes. How I love and loathe thee, let me count the ways...

My Walmart box came in the other day and it was both incredibly boring and super awesome all at once, which isn't something you would necessarily think possible but I assure you it is. If memory serves it came with:
- foil sample packs of body oil/wash for aches and pains and stuff like that (sure, sounds good)
- foil sample packs of face/body oil? It's two different kinds but I don't remember much beyond "eh, this looks okay."
- a tiny bottle of Aveeno lotion that I promptly gave to Mums because I believe I did the same the last time they sent me one because I do not like Aveeno.
- a Walmart razor that's their version of one of the Venus razors but not the one I like so I also gifted it to Mums (this seemed interesting and if I didn't happen to be very picky about my razor, I'd consider this worth the price of the box)
- a Degree Motion Sense deodorant which I might've shouted, "YES!" and called the entire box a win despite the complete and utter lack of coupons or anything super interesting. Why? Because I'm pretty sure that when I use mine tonight, I will run out and the one I got in my box is the exact one I have now and love. You did good, Walmart. Boring, but good.


My Zoya box came yesterday and this site spoils it far better than I could. I knew when I ordered the box that it was likely going to be mostly manicure stuff but not polish considering they made a huge deal about there being only one guaranteed polish. Still, a girl hopes, y'know? Brighton is pretty enough in the bottle. If it didn't happen to be almost Valentine's Day, I'd probably be a little more interested right away. I was pretty jazzed to get another of the fast drops because my previous bottle literally disappeared maybe a week after I got it. I don't know where it went and the little dropper it came with resurfaced at the start of the year. Mom expressed interest in some things if I try and don't like them, but I don't think I'll be doing another Zoya Mystery Box anytime soon. I like what I got (well, in theory. The top coat does not seem to love me as that hand is chipped all to hell.) but I don't necessarily think I'd love another round of the same things.

Don't remember if I already shared the polishes I chose and waited impatiently for so we'll pretend I didn't.
Delaney which looks kinda meh in the bottle. Then again, when you're the only non-glitter polish at the party, it's hard to be as impressive as you could be.
Finley is on my nails right now and it's so pretty I could die happy. It's even shiny and lovely without a topcoat... so shiny that I forgot I didn't do one until later. Purple sparkles. I mean, I had to.
And Remy. I was sorely tempted to say to hell with Valentine's and just skip right to wearing Remy because if the bottle is any indication, you will have to pry this polish from my cold, dead hands.

I'm not sure how I wound up not getting a blue considering I went in search of one but I'm pretty pleased with what I did buy... and I'm also fairly sure that if I have the funds when they do their Earth Day sale, I'll be buying some more pretty shinies. Because um, I might be an addict.

I also have a sinus headache and I'm going to go feed the cat and fall asleep. I hope.
