(no subject)

Oh, 2019. We're two days in and you're a mixed bag already. This morning at work I had a regular ask how my pregnancy was going. I hope I didn't give her the "are you kidding me" look and just rolled with it because I know who she was confusing me with, and she probably sees her more often than she sees me but it's still... not pregnant. Just fat. Thanks? But she meant well and I know that had she gotten the right employee, they'd have appreciated her asking/thinking about them.

Plus side, I was gifted the NBC wreath I wanted. :D Totally out of the blue, even! I remember chatting to N about it and she asked if I ever got it and I told her no, it was nifty but I couldn't bring myself to buy it for whatever reason. Part of me is still thinking, "Ohno, I hope she didn't think I was hinting!" and the reasonable part of me is pretty sure that there's no way in hell she'd think I was fishing because until this morning we'd never exchanged gifts or anything close. She was just being awesomely nice.

Also, looks like not only did I get tomorrow night off like I asked, but somehow also got Friday? Don't know how but I'm not going to question it. Might actually get off my ass and reply to things properly.

Might not. It is Dad's birthday tomorrow, after all.


In my effort to use up stuff, I finished my Twisted Peppermint bodywash that my brother gifted me two years ago. (No, it did not take two years to use. I simply didn't start using it til last summer and alternated with one of the Beach Nights.) Also ran out of my face wash/scrub but I know I've got a backup. Oh, and my bath pouf had its little string pop, so now it's been given a new life as my shower scrubber as *ahem* Santa gifted me with a new one in my stocking. Shame though, the old one wasn't that old and was really pretty. Ah well.

Gonna finish painting my nails in Essie's Out of This World (purple chrome) and get some sleep.
